The Indian government has urged industries to establish targets under the Green Open Access Rules 2022 in a bid to facilitate unrestricted access to green power throughout the country.

This move is aimed at hastening India’s renewable energy programs and achieving a 45 percent reduction in emissions in accordance with the country’s nationally determined contribution goals for 2030.

The administration has been working tirelessly to promote the production, procurement, and use of green energy, including through waste-to-energy plants.

According to an official statement, Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy, RK Singh, chaired a meeting with industry and other stakeholders on Saturday and instructed them to set targets under Green Open Access Rules 2022.
