February, Gurugram: Eco Entrepreneur, Ashwani Khurana, Founder and CEO of Karma Lakelands Golf Resort, launched an in-house mineral water bottling plant at his resort. A conscious step towards sustainability, this thoughtful approach is aligned with the resort’s commitment to minimize or rather stop the single-use plastic consumption at their resort.

The all-new mineral-packed drinking water is crafted to deliver a safe and pure experience to its guests. The resort has collaborated with Boon and built an automated plant in the resort to sterilize and add mineral content to the water.

The water goes through a series of purification processes with different machines set to treat the water efficiently. The TDS and other factors affecting the purity of water are checked constantly to ensure safety. Currently, the glass water bottles come in two variations of 750 ml and 300 ml, which are again refilled to meet the sustainable approach. There is even a provision for a 3-day stock so that the drinking water requirement is met in case of an emergency in the plant.

With this approach, the resort aims to eliminate the use of plastic bottles to serve guests.

“With the introduction of refillable and reusable glass water bottles, we have moved a step ahead towards a sustainable future that we envisioned years back. It is indeed a step closer to the Mother Nature as we are protecting her by eliminating the use of plastic consumption that is detrimental to the health of the planet. It is a small win with a big impact,” said an elated Mr Daman Deep Singh, General Manager, of Karma Lakelands.
