The recently released Prime Video series, Citadel, features Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden in lead roles, portraying the characters of Nadia Sinh and Mason Kane, respectively. The series, created by Josh Appelbaum, Bryan Oh and David Weil, revolves around the lives of two spies and their tech-genius co-worker, played by Stanley Tucci, who work for a global spy agency. After a spy from the agency betrays them, a crime syndicate called Manticore takes over, and Nadia and Mason lose their memories following a mission that goes awry. The plot of the six-episode series follows their journey eight years later.

Priyanka’s performance as Nadia is nothing short of exceptional, showcasing her impeccable acting and action skills. Her character can wipe out anyone in a moment, making her the epitome of a badass. Madden’s portrayal of Mason Kane is just as relentless, with a cheeky and confident persona. Together, they make a killer duo, communicating through action moves and working seamlessly. The chemistry between the two is evident even during gritty action sequences, living up to Stanley Tucci’s description of them as “hot stuff.”

The opening scene of the series takes place inside a train and offers a glimpse of the relationship between Nadia and Mason as they effortlessly take out their enemies. Their bond is unbreakable, as they are willing to take a bullet for each other without a second thought. Priyanka’s performance in Citadel is reminiscent of her Don character Roma, but she surpasses it with her sleek action moves. Madden’s Mason Kane is a more confident and cheeky version of David Budd from the BBC One series, Bodyguard, without the Scottish accent.

Priyanka and Richard have shared screen space for the first time in Citadel and have been travelling globally for promotions, starting in Mumbai and making their latest stop in Los Angeles, California. The first two episodes of the series were released on April 28, with the next four episodes set to release every Friday until May 26. The global versions of Citadel are currently in the works, with Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu roped in for the Indian version.

In conclusion, Citadel is an action-packed series that showcases the exceptional performances of Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden. Their chemistry is palpable even during action sequences, making them a killer duo. With the remaining episodes set to release in the upcoming weeks, it’s worth watching the series to witness the actors’ exceptional performances.
