Jeet Rajpurohit: How a Boy From Modasa Made It Big As a Rapper And Actor

Published

on

Modasa is a small town in Gujarat that many might not have heard of. However, the town is now recognized for being the birthplace of Jeet Rajpurohit, a young man who has made a mark with his talent as a rapper and actor on several national platforms. A couple of years back, Jeet realized got drawn to hip-hop music and rap and that led him towards exploring the artist within himself. While many would believe being in a small town would have made certain things inaccessible to an artist like him, Jeet thinks otherwise.

Talking about the same, he says, “Being from a small town like Modasa was my strength and not weakness. I had my family and friends around me who supported me in everything I wanted to. Also, in today’s times, when the internet is available to everybody, nothing is inaccessible. A few years back, a friend of mine showed me a video of a hip hop artist and I was hooked. Introduction to hip hop music changed my life completely. I always thought I had a lot of things to say and express but didn’t know how to. I became a rapper and that was the most liberating thing for me ever.”

Jeet believes every artist has multiple facets and they must try to explore each of them. Apart from being a well-known rapper, Jeet is an accomplished actor as well. He also has a YouTube channel on which he uploads short films, original music and cover versions of several popular tracks. All the music Jeet has created can be heard on all the leading audio streaming platforms as well. Some of the most acclaimed short films in which he has acted are ‘Ustara’, ‘No Parking’ and ‘Chai-Chai’. Jeet has also been a part of several popular advertising campaigns including one with Roadies fame Prince Narula.

“Bollywood is the next destination for me. I want to do films both as a rapper and an actor. I feel an artist should not be bound by any limits or restrictions. My motherland has given me a lot and I want to represent India on an international platform. Divine and Kr$na have been two of my biggest inspirations. Having said that, every artist has their own journey and I have mine too. I guess what makes me different from others in this space is that I have worked equally hard towards honing my skills as a rapper and actor”, says the 25-year-old.

Being from Gujarat, Jeet has a sharp entrepreneurial mind as well. Currently based in Bengaluru, a city which is said to be the hub of start-ups and entrepreneurs, Jeet owns multiple businesses that are driven by his interest in innovation. He also runs a production house which works towards producing content that is rooted and original. ‘Toll Plaza’, a short film which he recently wrapped upshot for, is slated to release on Disney+ Hotstar and MX Player soon.

Discover Inner Peace: A Soul-Stirring Journey to Your True Self

MUMBAI, India – Nov. 5, 2024 – Noble World Foundation is delighted to announce the release of the profoundly moving devotional song, देख ले, निज रूप प्यारे, गुरु चरण अनुराग रे,” which translates to “Look within, dear one; the truth is never far away. In the grace of the Guru, discover who you truly are.”

Written by Shiv R. Jhawar, this Hindi devotional song aims to inspire a new spiritual movement, encouraging self-realization through meditation. It draws inspiration from a life-changing experience on September 16, 1974, when Swami Muktananda (1908-1982), a revered Shaktipat guru, delivered a public talk on meditation in Chicago. During the talk, he said, “Kundalini starts dancing when one repeats Om Namah Shivaya.” As Shiv R. Jhawar, seated in the audience, began mentally repeating the mantra charged with the Guru’s energy, an extraordinary event occurred: “Suddenly, I felt a great impact of a rising force within me. The intensity of this rising Kundalini force was so tremendous that my body lifted up a little and fell flat into the aisle; my eyeglasses flew off. As I lay there with my eyes closed, I could see a continuous fountain of dazzling white lights erupting within me.”

Shiv describes this moment as a state of “supreme bliss,” a thought-free awareness of true being. Recognizing what was happening, Swami Muktananda said, “I didn’t do anything. The Energy has caught someone.” He then provided a live commentary, describing Shiv’s superconscious state and reassuring the audience of the transformative power of Kundalini awakening. This powerful experience inspired the creation of this devotional song.

The song addresses fundamental questions of existence: “Who am I? Why am I here? Where do I come from? Where do I go from here?” With heartfelt lyrics and a stirring melody, it transcends religious boundaries and leads listeners on a path to spiritual awakening. “The world needs more Buddhas, Jesuses, and Krishnas—not just religious followers,” says Shiv R. Jhawar, Founder of Noble World Foundation. “This song encourages listeners to discover their divine potential.”

Random Beats Selected as Official Entry to the Goa Short Film Festival

Published

on

GURUGRAM – Manoj Madhusudanan’ s debut short film ‘Random Beats’ has been honoured as an official entry for the upcoming 11th Goa Short Film Festival 2024. With this, Random Beats has made it to 13 prestigious national and international film festivals, and have won accolades at six of them. The film has been received well at International Film Festival of Shimla, Atlanta Indian Film Festival, India International Film Festival of Boston, 7th South Asian Film Festival, to name a few.

Written, produced and directed by Manoj, Random Beats is a story of how digital communication can impact relationships in today’s world. Manoj says, “It’s a world where we probably communicate more through digital channels than in person, and this opens up numerous possibilities of friction and miscommunication. A real life incident that someone narrated to me was the inspiration for me to write and direct this short film. I wanted to tell this story because I felt it was simple yet profoundly thought provoking.”

Manoj Madhusudanan is an India-based corporate leader with over 25 years of experience in data analytics, consulting and AI, for whom films have been a passion since childhood. A Mechanical Engineer from IIT Madras and an MBA from XLRI Jamshedpur, Manoj was inspired since his younger days by the works of Ingmar Bergman, Steven Spielberg, Majid Majidi, Werner Herzog, Satyajit Ray and Adoor Gopalakrishnan, to name a few. His penchant to learn film making alongside his corporate career led him to complete three film certifications from Raindance Film School, London in 2015-2016. After dabbling with a few amateur experiments, Random Beats is the first professionally made work from Manoj.

Manoj adds, “To tell such a story without distractions, I chose to use a linear structure, a contemporary pastel palette and minimalistic use of background score. It’s really heartening to see the reception and the accolades our little film is receiving at international film festivals, and we are excited that we are an official entry at Goa Short Film Festival 2024.”

Random Beats will be screened at Goa Short Film Festival, to be held on October 26 and 27 in Goa, India.

The first international “Eurasia” film festival will be held in Moscow from October 17 to 21

Published

on

This was announced on October 11 at a press conference by the president of the film festival, director, screenwriter, producer, and TV host Tigran Keosayan. More than 250 film industry professionals from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, India, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and other countries will take part in the “Eurasia” festival. Among them are directors, screenwriters, cinematographers, actors, producers, journalists, and video bloggers.

The main goal of the festival is to spark interest in the history and traditions of one’s country, discover talented filmmakers, and support the best films.

Participants will enjoy five days of a rich program, including film screenings, creative and business meetings, master classes, round tables, and educational programs. Festival guests will meet esteemed Soviet and Russian actors, as well as popular artists from Eurasian countries.

“Any festival is a platform for you to get recognized. That’s the main thing. And if you are talented, capable, and choose the right path, you get the chance to move forward. The situation with grants is unique, in my opinion, especially for our country. You can apply and receive funding. I believe that the main task of ‘Eurasia’ and the ‘Eurasia-Kinofest’ project is for us to regain interest in each other. We’ve been living in a new world for almost a quarter of a century. We need to rediscover one another,” emphasized Tigran Keosayan.

The competition program features more than 50 full-length and short artistic and documentary films. Winners will be chosen in 12 categories, with the awards ceremony taking place during the closing event. Emerging directors, screenwriters, cinematographers, and young film bloggers will have the opportunity to receive grants for making films dedicated to the unity and cooperation of Eurasian countries.

“The main objective of the ‘Eurasia’ film festival is to unite creative teams around a platform of traditional values based on mutual understanding and respect. AIO ‘Eurasia’ focuses on developing a platform of traditional and spiritual values common to the peoples of Eurasia. We have outlined the qualities we want to see in the films presented at the festival, particularly addressing issues of family and spiritual development. We have many flagship projects, and we hope that this form of expression through documentary and feature films will become a tradition, and our film festival will become an annual event,” noted Alena Arshinova.

In Eurasia, there are many creative teams, producers, screenwriters, and directors who create interesting formats, but few people know about them. The task of AIO “Eurasia” is to support them and bring them to a new, continental level.

The event can be attended for free by pre-registering on the website https://evrazia-kinofest.su. Registration will be available from October 14.

“ME FIRST”: A Riveting Exploration of Friendship and Conflict by Renu Vishwakarma’s THE BIG BIOSCOPE

Published

on

Renu Vishwakarma, an accomplished handicraft artisan who transitioned into filmmaking, has once again demonstrated her storytelling prowess with her latest short film, “ME FIRST.” Produced under the banner of her company, THE BIG BIOSCOPE, and directed by the talented Atul Gupta, with a story crafted by Rajeev Murthy, “ME FIRST” is a captivating narrative that explores the complexities of friendship and the unforeseen consequences of conflict. Adding to its acclaim, the film is set to participate in the prestigious Diorama Film Festival, marking a significant milestone in its journey.

Plot Summary: “ME FIRST” follows the lives of three friends who are often seen as “good for nothing” and are perpetually broke. Their monotonous lives take an unexpected turn when they manage to acquire a luxurious bungalow for a couple of days, completely free of charge. This unexpected windfall promises a break from their otherwise dreary existence.

Eager to make the most of their temporary good fortune, the friends embark on a journey of indulgence, revelry, and drinking. The bungalow, with its opulence and comfort, becomes their personal playground as they immerse themselves in the pleasures of their newfound environment. However, as the night progresses and the effects of alcohol take hold, underlying tensions begin to surface.

What starts as a joyous celebration soon turns into a heated argument. The friends, each carrying their own insecurities and unresolved issues, find themselves at odds over seemingly trivial matters. This argument marks a significant turning point in the story, transforming the light-hearted gathering into a moment of profound conflict.

Themes and Execution: “ME FIRST” delves into themes of friendship, human nature, and the impact of unaddressed emotions. The film effectively portrays how quickly camaraderie can disintegrate when personal grievances and egos clash. It underscores the fragility of relationships and the unpredictable consequences of letting emotions spiral out of control.

Renu Vishwakarma’s production expertise, coupled with Atul Gupta’s directorial vision and Rajeev Murthy’s engaging storyline, ensures that “ME FIRST” captivates the audience from the opening scene to the dramatic climax. The film’s pacing is masterfully controlled, with each scene meticulously building tension and drawing viewers deeper into the emotional landscape of the characters.

Visual and Technical Excellence: THE BIG BIOSCOPE has excelled in delivering a visually stunning and technically sound film. The bungalow, which serves as a central character in the narrative, is captured in all its grandeur, providing a stark contrast to the escalating tension among the friends. The cinematography beautifully complements the story, using lighting and camera angles to reflect the shifting moods and psychological states of the characters.

The sound design and background score further enhance the film’s impact, creating an immersive experience that keeps viewers engaged. The editing is sharp and precise, maintaining a brisk yet deliberate pace that mirrors the sudden shift from joy to conflict.

Participation in Diorama Film Festival: Adding to its accolades, “ME FIRST” is set to participate in the renowned Diorama Film Festival. This prestigious event showcases exceptional films from around the world, providing a platform for filmmakers to gain international recognition. The inclusion of “ME FIRST” in the festival is a testament to its quality and the compelling nature of its story, offering a significant boost to its visibility and reach.

Conclusion: “ME FIRST” is a testament to Renu Vishwakarma’s versatility and creativity as a filmmaker. By exploring the dynamics of friendship and the unforeseen consequences of conflict, she has crafted a story that is both relatable and thought-provoking. Under the skillful direction of Atul Gupta and with Rajeev Murthy’s compelling narrative, “ME FIRST” leaves a lasting impression on its audience, prompting reflection on the delicate balance between camaraderie and discord.

As THE BIG BIOSCOPE continues to produce innovative and engaging cinema, “ME FIRST” stands out as a significant achievement, reaffirming their commitment to bringing unique and impactful stories to the screen. The film’s participation in the Diorama Film Festival further underscores its merit, promising an exciting journey ahead for its creators and viewers alike.
